LA 2024 Taps Allyson Felix To Showcase City's Culture
Los Angeles is competing with Paris to host the 2024 Summer Olympics, although it could be awarded the 2028 Games instead.
LOS ANGELES, CA — LA 2024's second episode of its "What's Not in the Bid Book" video series was released Tuesday and features native Angeleno Allyson Felix, who has won more gold medals than any other female track and field Olympian in history.
The video series is intended to showcase L.A.'s culture, and the new two-minute episode features LA 2024 Chairman Casey Wasserman and Felix visiting the Alfred coffee shop, Colette Miller's angel wings painting and Sportie LA, a sneaker shop on Melrose Avenue.
"As a sprinter, my shoes are essential to my success — they have to feel good and look good," Felix said.

"The Olympic and Paralympic Games bring the world together, and so do cool shoes. I'm proud to share the latest episode of 'What's Not in the Bid Book' to showcase L.A.'s forward-thinking fashion culture, one of the many reasons why I love the city of angels, beyond sport," Wasserman said.
