LA's Best Kept Secret: The Haunted Hayride in Griffith Park
Celebrating its sixth year, the Haunted Hayride is a 'must' on any list of stimulating, spooky, and spirited Halloween activities.

The Haunted Hayride is a perfect opportunity to cuddle and cozy up to your sweetheart, BFF, or possibility, while enjoying some old fashioned fun and fright. A bit of country charm amidst the city chaos is a welcome pleasure.
It’s not too late to participate in this amazing adventure, appropriate for all ages from nine to ninety. There’s still time to catch an evening of thrills and chills, as the Hayride continues until the 31st. You can even purchase VIP tickets and be the first in line to enjoy the spine-tingling attractions.
Highlights include the: Scary Creature Merry-Go-Round; House of Mirrors; In-Between Dark Maze (if you’re brave, offer to carry the lantern and lead your group through the twists and turns where you’ll receive the most jolts); Psychic Readings; and Reenactments of Infamous Scenes from your Favorite Horror Films.

Also noteworthy are the Seven Sins Sideshow; House of the (Four) Horseman (Pestilence, War, Famine, and Death); Purgatory Haunted Village; Death Row Photo Room; Live Shows of Disturbia and Musical Acts; and Jack’s Carving Shack.
Bring your best camera to indulge in a myriad of photo opportunities - everywhere, that is, except on the hayride or inside the Maze. However, I did manage to hoe down the friendly farmers featured in the accompanying shot.
