Life is Busy, and Life is a Blessing, so Learn to Save It
Have a Licensed Traveling CPR/AED Instructor Hold a Class in Your Workplace This Holiday Season
When I was 45 years old, I suffered a sudden coronary arrest and flatlined for four minutes. A miracle occurred: I survived.
The symptoms of my arrest began at my local gym in Studio City, where the chest pains and vomiting started. Tali Fefer, my yoga instructor and one of the gym’s personal trainers, was by my side. So was Karon, my longtime personal trainer. I will always remember and value their calm and reassuring demeanors. They knew exactly what to do.
Heart disease in the United States is a vicious killer. Per the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, about 610,000 people die of heart disease in the United States every year. That is one in every four deaths. Heart disease is the top cause of death for both men and women. Coronary heart disease (CHD) is the most familiar type of heart disease, killing over 370,000 people every year.

We lead busy lives. We work long hours. We run errands. We deal with L.A. traffic. We cook, clean, do chores, and take care of families and friends. We have children. We have pets. We do our best to take care of ourselves. We do our best to have fun, be happy, and enjoy our lives.
Life is hard, and life is busy. Life is wonderful, and life is a joyous blessing. Every breath we take is another moment that we get to see the sky and sun, the moon and stars, and our families and friends.

To know how to save a life is an amazing skill that is easily learned. To have the opportunity in crisis to save a life is a remarkable deed. How many of us know how to successfully perform CPR and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) to shock a flatlined heart back into beating?
Tali Fefer knows how, and she can teach you. What’s more, she can teach you anywhere and everywhere. For the past 13 years, Tali has held CPR/AED classes in homes, offices, doctor’s offices, gyms, spin studios, day care centers, her home studio, and other various locations. Tali’s group classes take approximately two hours, and if the class consists of a minimum of six people, the cost per person is only $45 to become CPR certified. A small price to pay to save a life! What is two hours out of your work day, your work week, your life, to save another’s?
Her web site is www.1ststep2life.com, which details services, contact information, etc. Her telephone number is (818) 207-2051. You can contact Tali via email through her website.
As an official training site, you will receive your CPR certification card from Tali within a few days to a week after completing the course. Official training sites follow the guidelines of the American Heart Association. No need to wait weeks for your card!
In addition, Tali teaches yoga and is a personal trainer at my local gym in Studio City. I’m grateful for everyone who knows CPR, and all the trainers at my gym are CPR certified. Tali’s yoga class is the best I’ve ever enjoyed. Give it a whirl, especially given the stressful nature of our day to day lives here in Southern California. Stress is everywhere, even in a lovely place like Studio City.
If you are a business owner, a manager of a local shop or office, a gym or spin studio owner, a day care director, a school principal, anyone who works with children, or anyone who wants his or her professional team to be able to save someone’s life, please take a moment and contact Tali at (818) 207-2051 to set up a class at your workplace. Anyone who works with children of any age must know CPR; it is not an option. Everyone should be able to save a life. Knowing CPR gives you that chance.
Take it from me – everything can change in the blink of an eye.
Tali Fefer is not only a CPR instructor, but she is also a kind, calm, and heartfelt person for whom I have a great fondness. Two hours spent with her will not only change your life, but can also wind up saving the lives of others.
Tali has upcoming classes on November 13th and 17th at spinning studios in the Studio City area.
