Los Angeles Prisoner Escapes Days Before His Release

A prisoner winding down a six-year sentence for second-degree robbery walked away from a re-entry facility in Los Angeles.

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - Authorities Thursday sought public help to find a convicted robber who walked away from a Los Angeles area re-entry facility a month before he was scheduled for parole.

David Taylor, 38, walked away from the Male Community Reentry Program facility after removing his electronic monitoring device about 6 p.m. Wednesday, according to the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.

Taylor is black, 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighs 177 pounds and has a shaved head. He had been in the custody of the CDCR since May 30, 2012, after he was sentenced in Los Angeles County to a six-year term for second-degree robbery.
