Massive Water Main Bursts, Flooding Cahuenga Boulevard

LOS ANGELES, CA — A massive water main burst outside a Hollywood Hills restaurant Monday afternoon, sending water flooding down Cahuenga Boulevard near Universal Studios Boulevard Monday.

Shortly before 4:30 p.m., Los Angeles Department of Water and Power crews were on the scene working to stop the flooding. According to KCAL9, the Cahuenga Boulevard was flooded for about half a mile all the way down to Lankershim Boulevard.

The water flooded some vehicles and covered the sidewalk for several blocks. Commuters were advised to avoid the area.
