New Words.

Burgerista -- One who works in a fast-food restaurant.

Appoholic -- A person who is addicted to downloading apps.

Jump the shark -- Once great, but will decline in quality or poularity.

Craydar -- Using one's personal radar to analyze another's degree of being cray cray.

Gaydar -- Using one's personal radar to analyze signs that another might be gay.

Yooper -- Yoopers are residents of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. They come from above the Mackinac Bridge. Whereas Trolls are from lower Michigan.

Turducken -- A deboned chicken stuffed into a deboned duck, stuffed into a deboned turkey (also stuffed with seasoned breadcrumbs and/or sausage).

Hashtag -- A tic-tac-toe-like (twitterese) symbol used before a word or phrase to call attention to a selected topic.

Crowdfunding -- A collection of finance from a diverse group of backers (see kickstarter)

Digital divide -- It is the socioeconomic gap between those who have access to information and opportunity through the Internet and those who do not.

Gamification -- The concept of applying game design to non-game contexts to engage users to solve problems.

Big data -- The collection of data so large and complex it is impossible to process in a traditional database.

Catfish -- Someone who pretends to be someone they’re not. They use social media to create a false identity.
