Not Worth the Wait: After 16-day Break, North Hollywood High's Football Team Loses to Hollywood

After losing its opener by 41 points, then waiting 16 days to see the field again because of a cancellation, North Hollywood High finally got back to playing football on Friday, but the result was not what the Huskies wanted: a 28-12 loss to visiting Hollywood (0-2).

The good news was quarterback Jesse Craven asserted himself, and that's important because the returning senior starter is the team's key building block. He completed 8 of 22 passes for 119 yards and a 56-yard touchdown to Roderick Choice, and he also scored on a 2-yard run to account for both touchdowns.

The bad news was there was there wasn't much in the way of more good news, as North Hollywood (0-2) was limited to 141 total yards. The secondary blew some coverages, as Hollywood's Jeremi Ross passed for 183 yards and three touchdowns of 8, 60 and 11 yards, all to Diego Saenz (four receptions, 90 yards). And the offensive line had some breakdowns, as Craven was sacked three times in the fourth quarter.
