Dog Poop in My Trash

Lisa, I have a real complaint about dog owners putting their dogs’ bagged poop into my trash cans.  Is that allowed?—Julie

Dear Julie: 

Thank you for your question…although there are no laws prohibiting people from putting items into a trash can on the street, there are laws prohibiting people from putting the items in the wrong can. 

I have other questions about which trash can to put the bagged poop into and the answer is the black trash can.  The bag is to be tied or closed completely.

Un-bagged poop is not allowed in any trash can picked up by the City of Los Angeles.

The WORST Parking in Studio City?

What is the WORST parking lot in Studio City… is it the Trader Joe’s, or is it trying to park around Carpenter school?—J.D.

In my opinion, the worst parking area in Studio City is around Carpenter Community School because of the nature of the street itself. 

BUT, Studio City as a whole is parking impeded and unfortunately, there does not seem to be anything we can do about it.
