Old Rhymes about the Toilet Actually Work

You've heard the old saying, well there's some validity to it.

You know the old saying “If it’s yellow let it mellow, if it’s brown flush it down?”  

While this popular phrase may first appear to be just another cutesy rhyme from childhood camping trips, the simple act of not flushing the toilet after you pee can conserve an enormous amount of water.  

According to Jordan Laoi of Networx, an online home improvement network, the average person urinates about six times per day, equal to 7.6 gallons flushed. That’s about 2,774 gallons per year to dispose of about 171 gallons of urine.
