CAMPUS SAFETY REMINDER

Just a friendly reminder: We live in a big city. While we have an open playground after school, it's a good practice to keep gates to the campus closed at all times. When entering or exiting the campus after school, please remember to close the gate behind you. We appreciate your extra care to make sure our campus stays as safe as possible. Thanks!

REMINDER: COME TO CPK AND SUPPORT CAPRENTER!

WALK-A-THON PLEDGE MONEY – IT’S NOT TOO LATE

Thank you to everyone who has turned in their sponsorship money for the WALK-A-THON. If you still haven’t turned in your pledge money, it is not too late! We are still accepting money through Friday, March 9th. Turn in your cash or check donations to the office or have your sponsors donate on-line.

·  The student who raises the most money  
  overall will win an iPod Touch!
·  The second highest earner will win 2
  Tickets to Universal Studios.
·  Every Student who raises $100 or
  MORE will receive a Carpenter Walk-
  a-thon t-shirt.
·  Any class that raises the equivalent of
  $100 per student will win a pizza party.
·  Every student who raises any money
  will be entered in a drawing to win gift
  certificates to a Laser Tag Party, Ear
  buds or a Menchies gift certificate.

*Students are only eligible for prizes if all money is turned in by this Friday, March 9th.

REMINDER: PTA BOARD MEETING ON TUESDAY 3/6 AT 8:05AM

The PTA Board and Committee Chair Meeting for March will be held on Tuesday, March 6th at 8:05am in Cafe West. At the meeting, we will discuss a request to fund CPR classes for the faculty, the Green Team's Initiative, the California budget crisis and PTA's response and a variety of other topics important to our school. As always, the Board meeting is open to all members of the community. Note: the General PTA and PFC Meeting will be held the following week on Thursday, March 15th beginning at 7:45am. EVERY KID COUNTS MEETING THIS THURSDAY MORNING

The next Every Kid Counts Committee Meeting will be held on Thursday, March 8th in the PARENT RESOURCE ROOM (not Cafe West) at 8:10am. We will be finalizing our plans for Awareness Week in April. We really need your participation!

We aim to be a parent resource for children with learning differences, children who may be struggling, children who suffer from low academic self esteem.
