SigAlert: Three Trapped In 101 Freeway Crash In Studio City

Several lanes of the southbound 101 Freeway were closed, and three people were hurt, two in critical condition Tuesday night.

STUDIO CITY, CA — Three people were hurt — two in critical condition, in a crash in Studio City Tuesday night that left three people trapped in the wreckage.

Firefighters were called to the Hollywood (101) Freeway near Lankershim Boulevard at about 10:30 p.m. They found three people trapped in the two-vehicle crash on the southbound side of the freeway, according to Nicholas Prange of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Two of the patients were taken to a hospital in critical condition and the third was transported in unknown condition, Prange said.

A SigAlert was issued until about midnight for the Nos. 1, 2 and 3 lanes of the southbound Hollywood Freeway and No.1 northbound lane of the freeway at Lankershim Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol.
