Just this week there were TWO serious accidents in the Laurel Canyon & Sunshine Terrace intersection, both caused by people running yellow/red lights heading North and South. Cars ended up on sidewalks, in yards, others were completely spun around into oncoming traffic, and children were involved but thankfully not hurt too badly. Had any pedestrians been on their way to the park, they would surely have died. I live nearby, and hear the horns and several near misses every week...I'm tired of it. I've called the city numerous times to ask for a longer delay on the traffic lights, to no avail; perhaps we can all call our councilpeople about it? Meanwhile, please spread the word to pause and LOOK before you go into this dangerous intersection, it might save your life. And if you're the one running the lights, then slow down....wherever you're headed can wait, but you can't turn back the clock if you kill someone.
