
Los Angeles, CA [July 16, 2013] Four months after a virtual awards sweep, winning Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actress and nominated for Best Actor for a dramatic feature film at the inaugural Studio City Film Festival, the psychological thriller, Rubicon’s Broken, has come to a worldwide distribution agreement with R-Squared Films.
Written, directed and produced by Ophir Gottlieb through Turn on Dark Productions, Rubicon’s Broken is a character driven psychological thriller, raising some interesting and terrifying questions.

Award winning cinematographer Mark Herzig was the film’s director of photography. Ziv and Richard Ross co-wrote the award nominated original score and Kevin Crawford composed the award nominated Sound Design.
Zachary Barnes stars as protagonist Peter Rubicon – a tragically warped teenage boy plagued by a poor, dysfunctional family and psychological illness who struggles to distinguish the real world from a perverse dream world. When he and his family are abducted and forced to choose amongst themselves which sole family member will survive the final decision reveals a disturbing family dynamic including terminal illness, incest and rape. Rebecca Bujko [Magic City] co-stars as Kristen Rubicon, Peter’s sister. Michael Ritz, Radha, Ana Bess Moyer Bell and James Heikkila round out the principal actors.
