A Stupid Person is an Intolerant Person.
Sometimes, members of the media criticize others and become bullies without realizing it.

Paul Krugman of the New York Times starts his column today (Friday, August 1, 2014) with this opening line:
“One of the best insults I’ve ever read came from Ezra Klein, who now is editor in chief of Vox.com. In 2007, he described Dick Armey, the former House majority leader, as “a stupid person’s idea of what a thoughtful person sounds like.”
This tells the reader instantly that Krugman thinks a certain way. His opinions and Ezra Klein’s are to be valued. Both men have all the right answers. No need for you to worry, fret or try thinking for yourself (you ignorant dolt).

Paul Krugman was a highly respected economist who joined the advisory board of Enron – yes that Enron. Eventually Enron went under and suffered many indignities. Sad to say, Paul Krugman’s political partisan agenda has taken precedence over his journalistic integrity. Krugman’s critics do not label him using his Enron experience to belittle his contributions. That would be a nasty form of bullying.
Today’s opening line let’s you know that his judgment leaves no room for any other point of view. Intolerant? Yes. Many of these opinion makers complain that the Israelis and Palestinians never sit down with each other and “compromise”. What’s the matter with congress? It’s a dereliction of duty – why can’t they work together?

“Stop Hatin’” is the newest tagline. Maybe Paul Krugman, Ezra Klein and those who constantly criticize and blame others need to do a little soul-searching. Maybe they need to listen to Aretha more.
