Suspicious Package Shuts Down Busy Studio City Intersection

Police tonight investigated a suspicious suitcase chained or strapped to a bus bench outside a bank in Studio City.

Officers were notified about 7:40 p.m. that a suitcase was attached to a bench outside a Chase bank branch at the intersection of Ventura and Laurel Canyon boulevards, Los Angeles Police Department Officer Drake Madison said.

The immediate area was blocked off to pedestrian and auto traffic, Madison said.
