VAN NUYS, CA — A Los Angeles Police Department SWAT team has surrounded a man who went into a Van NuysDenny's bathroom more than six hours armed with a knife. Just after 4 a.m. Wednesday morning, officers were called to the Denny's in the he 16400 block of Sherman Way to respond to reports of a man with a knife. When officers approached the man, he ran into the restaurant and barricaded himself in the bathroom, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
