Teen Found Underneath Train in Studio City Identified

Authorities today released the identity of a 19-year- old man who was fatally struck by a Metro Red Line train in Studio City.

His name was David Ferrer of Burbank, according to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.

Firefighters and paramedics were dispatched to the Universal/Studio City station at 11:50 a.m. Friday, where the victim ended up beneath the train, said Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau detectives were investigating the fatality, Ramon Montenegro of the Sheriff’s Transit Services Bureau said.
