The Easter Bunny, a Wonderful Wizard and 'The Magnificent Seven'
This weekend, get a jump on Easter festivities, see a Western or sing your way down the Yellow Brick Road.
When/Where: Saturday, 11 a.m.-4 p.m., Courtyard at the Commons, 23631-23703 Calabasas Rd., Calabasas.
Why Go: It's a Spring Fest with the Easter Bunny, baskets of free goodies, exciting sidewalk sales, one-day specials and DJ Dustin G to get the party going.

When/Where: Saturday, 2 p.m. and 8 p.m., Alex Theatre, 216 N. Brand Blvd., Glendale.
Why Go: Dress up as your favorite character (a flying monkey? a twister? anything goes!) and compete for prizes in a costume contest. Then sing along to the entire Wizard of Oz film and soundtrack. Meet and greet in person: actress Dorothy Barrett (Emerald City manicurist), Judy Garland impersonator Elaine Horn and Richard Stanley, onetime assistant to George Cukor, the famed director who worked briefly on the 1939 MGM musical.
Pricing: Adults, $13.50; seniors, students and kids 12 and under, $9.50.
When/Where: Sunday, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. The route stretches from Hollenbeck Park in Boyle Heights, through Little Tokyo, downtown, Westlake and MacArthur Park, Koreatown and into East Hollywood at the Bicycle District. Click here for more details.
Why Go: It's part of four "open-street” Sunday events for all ages, in which 7 1/2 miles of streets are blocked to car traffic, making them safe to walk, skate, play and ride a bike. There are activities as well as open shops and restaurants along the route.
Pricing: $7 for parking, if you drive to the location.
9th Annual Victory for Victims Walk/Run

Why Go: Walk or run to raise money for Northridge Hospital’s Center for Assault Treatment Services (CATS). Proceeds from this event will benefit CATS, the only 24/7 sexual abuse and assault response center serving children and adults in the San Fernando and Santa Clarita valleys.

What is a Western? Film Series
When/Where: Saturday, 1:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m., the Autry, 4700 Western Heritage Way, Los Angeles.
Why Go: Watch The Magnificent Seven (starring Yul Brynner, Steve McQueen, Charles Bronson and Eli Wallach): A group of Mexican peasants hires seven American gunfighters to help protect them from a gang of bandits. Jeffrey Richardson, associate curator, will lead a discussion of the film’s history prior to the screening.
Pricing: Adults, $11; children under 12, $5; seniors and students, $7.
