TV Producer Jill Blackstone Arrested On Suspicion Of Murder

Her sister was found dead in a carbon-monoxide-filled garage in Studio City in March 2015.

LOS ANGELES, CA – Television producer Jill Blackstone was in custody Thursday on suspicion of murder in connection to her sister's 2015 death in Studio City. Blackstone was arrested on a murder warrant Tuesday night at a hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Blackstone is suspected in the March 2015 death of her sister Wendy Blackstone, who was found dead in a garage filled with carbon monoxide in the 12000 block of Landale Street, police said.

Wendy Blackstone, 49, who was deaf and partially blind, appeared to have left a suicide note. However, Jill Blackstone was arrested two days later on suspicion of murder. The website TMZ.com reported at the time that police suspected Jill Blackstone had written the alleged suicide note.

Prosecutors, however, declined to file any charges, asking police to conduct additional investigation, and Jill Blackstone was released from custody.

Blackstone has worked as a producer on shows including "The Jerry Springer Show," "Divorce Court," `The Tony Danza Show and "Family Court with Judge Penny."
