LOS ANGELES, CA —William Daniels, the 91-year-old Emmy award-winning actor, thwarted an attempted burglary at his San Fernando Valley home over the weekend, according to authorities. Daniels, famous for his roles as the voice of K.I.T.T. in "Knight Rider" as well as his portrayals of "Mr. Feeny" on the ABC sitcom "Boy Meets World" and Dr. Mark Craig on "St. Elsewhere," scared a would-be burglar who was attempting to kick in his back door.
Daniels, and his wife, actress Bonnie Bartlett, 89, were together at home at about 9:20 p.m. Saturday night when they heard someone attempting to kick down their door, TMZ reported. Daniels reportedly jumped, up, turned on the lights and scared away the burglar.
Los Angeles detectives don't believe the attempted break-in was connected to the string or burglaries targeting celebrities and athletes in the city.
