2 'Violent' Women In Yoga Pants Rob Chase Bank

LOS ANGELES, CA — Two women robbed a Chase bank branch in North Hills at gunpoint Friday, forcing victims to the floor before escaping, authorities said.

Officers conducted a perimeter search for the suspects, who entered the bank in the 9100 block of Sepulveda Boulevard, near Nordhoff Street, about 12:20 p.m., according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The women wore dark yoga-style pants or tights, T-shirts, purple or black gloves and sunglasses. They stuffed an undisclosed amount of stolen cash into a black and white striped bag with a pink bottom, according to the FBI, which responded to the scene along with the LAPD.

At least one of the women was armed with a gun, according to FBI spokeswoman Laura Eimiller, who said the robbers were "extremely violent while inside the bank."

There were no immediate reports of anyone needing to be taken to a hospital, Victims were evaluated for injuries at the scene, Eimiller said.

The takeover robbery and search prompted the LAPD's Valley Bureau to go on a modified tactical alert, before it was determined the women were no longer in the area.

The suspects should be considered armed and dangerous and anyone with information regarding their identities or whereabouts should not take action but instead call the FBI, which can be reached 24 hours a day at (310) 477- 6565.
