Valley View Elects New School Site Council

First up on the agenda is creating a new school plan because the school was labeled 'Progress Improvement.'

elected their parents and teachers to form the new School Site Council, which helps the principal decide how to allocate and spend money at the school.

Kim said that improving the school scores on certain subgroups in the school population should not be very difficult to do, and that the school will make a unified effort as a whole to improve the scores.

The new council must be made up equally of staff and parents/community members and reviews student achievement data, reviews program effectiveness and makes decisions with some of the funding.
