PTA News Spring Fling is Coming!

Did you hear the news? We voted at our last meeting to CANCEL THE AUCTION! Yes, that's right, parents. This year we will not be gathering auction donations and making a hundred baskets. No online auction either. We'll take a break this year to focus on something new - Move-a-thon - and refocus on something beloved - Spring Fling. Both events will be fund-raising and social highlights this Spring for our school, and both will need your enthusiasm, support and elbow grease.

 So if you've got ideas, information and/or time to help invent the Move-a-thon or re-invision the Spring Fling, VV wants you. 
Spring Fling is on the agenda this Wednesday... It's time to get organized! Please come to the next PTA Meeting on Wednesday 2/29 to weigh in on the fun stuff: Where we'll have it this year, what activities we'll offer, what kind of food options... Come with your ideas and let's think outside the box to make this year's big festival and fundraiser extra fun for the whole family!

 

YEARBOOKS Place Your Messages and Order Now!

Yearbook spaces are still available for personal messages and advertising! The deadline is fast approaching, so get them in right away. These messages underwrite the cost of the yearbooks and make them more affordable for all. So please consider a personal message to your child, or placement of your business advertisement.

Spaces available are:

A: business card size 3.5" wide x 2" tall at $10

B: quarter-page size 3.5" wide x 5" tall at $25

C: half-page size 7.25" wide x 5" tall at $50.

If you create your own message, please make sure it fits the dimension you've chosen and paid for. Or you can write your message, and we'll prepare it for you (25 words or less for size A).

Deadline of Friday March 9th is fast approaching!

 

AND it's time to place your Yearbook orders! Basic price is $20. And for front cover personalization of your child's name, add just $2.

Deadline for personalization orders is Friday March 23rd.

The new session of classes will begin this Tuesday.Starting this session, teacher student ratio will now be 12:1. Class size will be capped at 24 students. There are still spaces available, so enroll now!

 

Junior Detectives: Spy Kids!

WEDNESDAYS: 2/22, 2/29, 3/7, 3/14, 3/21, 3/28, 4/11

Learn all about crime scene investigation and forensic work. In this class you will learn how to take fingerprints, decode secret messages, search for clues and so much more! Explore the fascinating world of solving mysteries and develop observation and reasoning skills. $10 materials fee.

 

GLEE! Dance Crew

THURSDAYS: 2/23, 3/1, 3/8, 3/15, 3/22, 3/29, 4/12

GLEE! Dance Crew will get the hottest most exciting moves going as kids learn a dance routine and a lip-sync that is tons of fun! Full of energy and song, you don't have to be a singer or a dancer to have fun! Students will perform songs from the GLEE soundtrack at the end of session.

 

Chess Club!

TUESDAYS: 2/21, 2/28, 3/6, 3/13, 3/20, 3/27, 4/10

We introduce chess to students in a fun and exciting way! For all students and all levels, we teach students to play chess and help them succeed in school by stimulating their problem solving skills, analytical skills, and critical thinking.

Classes are split into two groups: Beginning and Intermediate/Advanced. Win certificates, medals and trophies!
