Vigil on June 30 in Los Angeles for Dogs and Cats killed at China's 2016 Yulin Dog Meat Festival

-- Vigil To Be Held On Thursday, June 30, from 7-10 PM at Howard Hughes Promenade --

Los Angeles-based nonprofit Last Chance for Animals (LCA) has joined a worldwide coalition of animal rights organizations to stage a vigil on June 30, 2016, titled 10,000 Candles for Yulin Dogs & Cats-LA in protest of China’s Yulin Dog Meat Festival. An estimated 10,000 dogs and cats are brutally beaten and murdered each year at Yulin’s festival which began on June 21. The vigil will be held on the last day of the festival in China. Attendees are encouraged to bring candles and photos of dogs and cats to represent the massive loss of animals.
