Vote - Patrice Berlin - Studio City Neighborhood Council
Employee/Independent Contractor Category

I've spent most of my life in Sherman Oaks and Studio City. A valley girl since '55, attended Corvallis HS in the 70's. I bought my home in Studio City 20 years ago. Growing up here was very special, however, I am concerned our small town is in danger of losing its charm. Neighborhood Councils were formed as a liaison between the stakeholders and the City Council office. Neighborhood Council board members take an oath to remain neutral and represent all stakeholders not just the special interests of the few. Evidence suggests that some in our Neighborhood Council have lost their way. I have confronted special interests groups here in Studio City, most recently the Sportsmen's Landing project and I am not afraid to continue to do so. As an Neighborhood Council board member I will work hard to preserve Studio City by ensuring stakeholders who are not necessarily connected or have the time, have good information and a voice. I welcome intelligent discourse and will work hard on behalf of the many competing interests. I am not against progress. Progress should be responsible development coupled with the flavor and charm we all love about Studio City. Join me and my colleague Eric Preven and the OurStudioCity endorsed candidates in bringing back a more independent and fair-minded Neighborhood Council.
