Walter Reed Student Robbed by Two Teens
The 14-year-old was alone at 7:40 a.m. near the school.

A Walter Reed Middle School 14-year-old boy was robbed while walking alone to school Wednesday morning, and the principal issued a warning for the school.
North Hollywood Los Angeles Police Officer Betty Dove said the student was not attacked or jumped, "nor did it appear to be gang-related or a retaliation in any way." The student happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time and was alone.
Principal Donna Tobin issued a warning to the school to be careful and try not to walk alone too and from school.

The boy was robbed by two late-teen students in a blue pick-up truck and they appeared to be Hispanic, Dove said. The attack took place at Sarah Street and Lemp Avenue near Moorpark at about 7:40 a.m.
A mother driving past while the attack was happening honked her horn to divert the robbers.
