Kids, parents, and teachers at Walter Reed's Middle School came out to plant this year's gardens. Broccoli, parsley, and kale to start. The winning of Adopt-a-Garden contest sponsored by Snoop Dogg and Reed's Ginger Brew was a big help in moving forward. Still looking for community support on all fronts. The parent leadership team of the Culinary Arts Academy (the only public middle school in California that is cooking) are planning to start a campaign to revamp and update the cooking classroom by getting support from local restaurants. Our kids are boiling water in the classroom just to wash the dishes!
