What a pain in the neck!

Do you have a pain in the neck? No, not your spouse or roommate! We’re talking about real, palpable pain – the kind that comes from arthritis in the joints: knees, hands, neck, you-name-it. The other day I was having my hair cut when another customer at the beauty shop let out a very loud ouch. She complained about pain in her knees. She was joined by a Greek chorus of women who were feeling the same in various parts of their anatomy because of increased moisture in the air. An old timer chimed in, “Get yourself some beagle oil. My Mormon friend told me about it and even sent me a small container. It really works!” Where do you get it? Apparently you can get it from a veterinarian but suppose you don’t have a pet? Shhhhh...don’t tell anybody but you can get it online at amazon.com (like everything else). By the way, it’s pronounced beagle oil but it’s actually spelled differently and it’s for horses! According to the directions, which will give you instructions about applying it to your horse before a workout, it mentions that it’s okay for humans to use. It has a sort of slightly stinky aroma – as any liniment does, but it’s not offensive. It’s probably best to dilute it (half solution and half water) when applying it for the first time. It’s my opinion that putting chemicals in your system changes your body chemistry. I don’t ever use Aleve or any over-the-counter pain relief medication. I’ve used every imaginable arthritis patch (Salonpas) and rub, but to little avail. I bought a container of Bigeloil from amazon.com. I rub it on at night just before bedtime and get a pain-free night’s sleep. If you suffer from arthritis pain you should give it a try. It’s not just for horses anymore.
