What Parts of Studio City Will Be Lost in the New District? [PHOTOs]
Here's a photo gallery of parts of Studio City that will no longer be in the new CD2.
For a brief moment in the Los Angeles City Council redistricting effort, all the borders of Studio City were in one district—the first time in more than a decade.
That odd box over by Fulton and Coldwater Canyon that fell into Paul Koretz's district on the west end of Studio City was now in the new Council District 2. The historic Campo de Cahuenga, the Metro station for which the "Studio City" name is sought", and both ends of Weddington Park were all in the same compact district.
Then, Toluca Lake residents wanted back into District 4. They protested. They wore green shirts. They got their way.

Here's a photo gallery of the places that will no longer be part of the unified Studio City district, if the most plans go through as recently re-drawn.
Significant Studio City markers that would not be in the new district include:
* The Laurel Canyon Dog Park (tell that to the Department of Recreation!)
* North and South Weddington Parks
Studio City Neighborhood Council President John Walker strongly urges people to go to City Hall at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, or take this action:
Please take a moment to write an email: redistricting.lacity@lacity.org and PLEASE CC:lsarkin@studiocitync.org.
We plan on appearing at the next public Redistricting Commission meeting on Wednesday, February 22 @ 4pm @ City Hall. If you can make it, great! But if you cannot, your email will show that we have real support. They will be handed over to the Commissioners. Ms. Sarkin will be bringing in the copies of all those emails she has received.
