Will Oliver, 18, Earns Full Scholarship to University of Colorado

senior football star has not only scored well for the , he has been getting national attention.

The 18-year-old superstar is the only athlete involved intensely in three major sports: football, soccer and lacrosse. Not only that, he plays ice hockey for Venice High, plays viola in the symphony, is a Student Ambassador, a member of the SAAC (Student Athletic Advisory Council) and has a senior year grade point average of 3.72.

His work ethic and dedication got him to where he is.

Well, let's hear it from Mom's mouth, Ann Oliver:

"I have no idea whether this is of interest to you guys or not (it obviously is to his parents!), but Will received scholarship offers from the University of Maryland, Fresno State, a Preferred Walk On spot at Cal, and ultimately accepted a full ride at the University of Colorado.

"We're pretty proud of him! Thanks for your support. I really think that being able to send your Patch articles to college coaches was a boost. He's just finished his soccer season and is now onto lacrosse, with Venice hockey starting in three weeks. It makes me tired just thinking about it!
