1 Found Dead In Residential Fire In Solano County
Evacuation orders were issued for the surrounding area until the blaze was extinguished.
VACAVILLE, CA — An occupant of a home in the English Hills area north of Vacaville was found dead after a fire on Saturday afternoon, the Vacaville Fire Protection District said.
The structure fire in the 7700 block of Chisamore Ranch Lane was reported about 2:45 p.m. As fire units were responding, the flames spread to vegetation and an exterior garage.
"Due to the remote location and the need for additional resources and water supply, a greater alarm was requested," firefighters said on social media. "Once conditions allowed firefighters to safely enter the structure, an occupant was located deceased inside."

The vegetation fire burned about half an acre. Evacuation orders were issued for the surrounding area until the blaze was extinguished.
Among those assisting the Fire Protection District were firefighters from Vacaville, Montezuma, Suisun City, West Plainfield, Winters, Dixon, California Correctional Center, University of California at Davis, Fairfield and Napa.
