Breaking: Residents near the base will hear an increase in voice notifications and alarms.

SOLANO COUNTY, CA -- Travis Air Force Base is conducting a security incident drill today and Thursday, June 14 and 15, Fairfield police said.
Residents near the base will hear an increase in voice notifications and alarms that are part of the simulated security drill. There also may be increased gate entry periods throughout the exercise.
All base exercise notifications heard over the base's "Giant Voice" system will be prefaced with an "Exercise Exercise Exercise" reminder, police said.

Sirens and alarms will be used to simulate a realistic environment so base personnel can properly train and respond in the event of a real-world incident.
