4 Shot, 1 Killed At Graduation Ceremony At Fairfield High School
The area around the school was on lockdown, and police did not release a suspect description Wednesday night.
FAIRFIELD, CA — A graduation ceremony ended in gunfire Wednesday night at Fairfield High School, reportedly killing one student and injuring three others, according to police and city leaders.
The shooting took place shortly after 7 p.m. in the high school parking lot following a graduation ceremony for Sem Yeto Continuation High School, said Fairfield Police Officer Michelle Belyea.
One victim died at the scene, and three surviving victims were rushed to the hospital in unknown condition.

According to KRON4, witnesses saw a mother performing CPR on her son, wearing his graduation cap and gown.
"It's a very scary incident when something like this happens especially at the end of a school event," Belyea said.

The roads surrounding the school at 205 East Atlantic Avenue have been closed and were under lockdown Wednesday night.
Authorities have not announced an arrest nor released a description of the suspect.
