5 Fairfield Businesses Sell Alcohol To Minors In Decoy Operation
Two Fairfield Police Explorers, ages 19 and 18, were used as decoys.

News from the Fairfield Police Department:
On July 29, 2015, members of the Fairfield Police Department’s Special Operations Team and Crime Prevention Unit conducted alcohol compliance checks on local businesses. This is in follow up to a similar operation run in December, 2014.
Two Fairfield Police Explorers were used as decoys for this event. One of the Explorers is 19 years old, the other is 18. Both provided their actual ages and identification cards if asked by the server.

19 local businesses were checked and a total of 5 provided alcohol to minors;

The employees who provided the alcohol were issued citations for furnishing alcohol to a minor. The cases were also forwarded to the California Department of Alcohol Beverage Control for administrative actions against the businesses.
