Among the programs featured this August are:

First Round and Next Round Boxing

First Round Boxing will meet Monday through Thursday from 4 to 5 p.m. The introductory class will help new and developing boxers learn proper fundamentals while improving fitness, confidence and discipline.

Next Round Boxing will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. This invitation-only advanced class is designed for intermediate and experienced boxers and will include more focused coaching and individualized training plans.

Dink or Dare Pickleball League

Teens can learn one of the country's fastest-growing sports through a PAL-style league that combines pickleball matches with fun challenges. Games will be held Wednesdays at 5 p.m. No previous pickleball experience is required.

Fantasy Football League Registration

Registration will open August 17 for Fairfield PAL's 2026–27 fantasy football season. Participants will build teams, follow the season and compete against other PAL members while practicing strategy, decision-making and sportsmanship. Registration closes August 31.

Ask an IT Person

City of Fairfield technology professionals will visit PAL on Thursdays at 5 p.m. to help teens build practical computer skills and receive answers to technology questions. Topics may include Microsoft Office, PDFs, computer memory, file management, internet safety and other skills students can use at school and in future jobs.

Alive & Free: The Prescription to End Violence

Alive & Free returns Mondays at 5:30 p.m. The violence-prevention program gives teens practical tools to recognize harmful influences, manage pressure and conflict, protect their goals and make decisions that support the future they want.

Sew Savvy Community Service Project

PAL's sewing program returns Thursdays at 5 p.m. with an all-new service opportunity. Students will learn basic sewing skills while making stuffed bears that will be donated to local domestic violence programs. The project allows teens to develop a new skill while creating something meaningful for children and families experiencing difficult circumstances.

The August calendar also includes basketball, Nerf games, video game tournaments, arts and crafts, billiards, food programs, spelling competitions, group challenges and free community dinners provided by local partners.
