FAIRFIELD, CA – The Fairfield Police Activities League (PAL) Center is looking for adults to help teens grow, learn and have fun after school.

Applications are being accepted for a part-time Activity Specialist to lead the PAL Homework Zone / College Prep program after school. Candidates must be available to work Mondays through Thursdays between 2:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. and are interested in empowering PAL members to take charge of their learning and build community.

Ideal candidates will be passionate about helping teens do their best academically, be comfortable with middle- and high school-level math, and have a flair for making learning accessible, engaging, and fun. Training is provided. The pay rate is $16.19/hr.

Applications are also being accepted for Recreation Specialists to organize basketball events, lead games, teach crafts and assist with center programming. The pay rate is $10.17/hr. Ideal candidates will have experience working in recreation and with teens. Training is provided.

Applications available only at the PAL Center between 3 p.m. and 9 p.m. Applications will be accepted until positions are filled. All candidates must be able to pass a standard City of Fairfield background and an additional police department checks. The Fairfield PAL Program is open to Fairfield, Suisun, and Travis Students enrolled in grades seven through twelve. Memberships are $10 per year and can be purchased at the Fairfield Community Center (1000 Webster Street) Mon-Thursday between 11:30-5:30pm.
