Start times for Wednesday’s section semifinals have yet to be determined.

Wednesday’s semifinal winners advance to the Sac-Joaquin Section championship March 5 at 6:30 p.m. at Arco Arena in Sacramento. The expansion of the Northern California tournament field means that all four semifinalists will play for the California Interscholastic Federation championship beginning March 8.

Marshanique Hall, Armijo’s gifted point guard, paced the Indians with 13 points in the blowout victory over Turlock. Talented post player Melaya Gaines scored 10 points and pulled down 24 rebounds as the Indians rolled into the semifinals.

Chloe Dawkins scored 13 points and Justice Kroon-Robinson 12 for Armijo.

Armijo’s defense sparkled once again. Turlock’s leading scorer Camille Roberts entered the contest averaging 15.1 points per game, but the 5-foot-8 point guard was held to just five points by the Indians.

The defeat snapped Turlock’s four-game winning streak.
