Assault Posted Online Leads to Arrests

The victim, an 18-year-old girl, was attacked in a Fairfield park.

Three suspects were arrested on suspicion of assaulting a woman at a Fairfield park Monday after a video of the attack appeared on a social media site, police said.

The 18-year-old female victim was punched, kicked in the head and thrown into the side of a vehicle at Laurel Creek Community Park at Cement Hill Road and Peppertree Drive, police said.

Officers learned about the assault later in the day after the woman was taken to a trauma center, police Lt. Steven Crane said.

On Wednesday, the victim got a video of the attack that had been posted online and had clear images of the suspects.

Police identified the suspects and determined they conspired to attack the woman, who was known to them, Crane said.

The suspects were arrested around 10:15 p.m. Wednesday. Unree Johnson, an 18-year-old man, Deja Bowden, an 18-year-old woman, and a 16-year-old girl were arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, battery causing great bodily injury, domestic violence and conspiracy.

The adults were booked into Solano County Jail and the juvenile was booked into juvenile hall.
