FAIRFIELD, CA - Fairfield police have identified a man who was killed when he was hit by a car while riding his bicycle last month as 71-year-old Paul Lorms of Fairfield.
The collision happened around 6:30 p.m. Sept. 20 on state Highway 12 and Beck Avenue.
Witnesses said Lorms was riding south on Beck Avenue against a red light as he tried to cross Highway 12 when he was hit by a vehicle driving east, according to police.

The vehicle had a green light and the driver remained at the scene, police said. Alcohol or drugs were not suspected as factors in the collision.
Lorms died at the scene.
