Body Recovered In Antioch Canal

ANTIOCH - Emergency crews recovered a body from a canal in Antioch this morning, according to a Contra Costa County Fire Protection District spokesman.

A call came in at about 8:45 a.m. about a body that was in a canal in Antioch, Fire Marshal Robert Marshall said.

He said crews took around an hour to retrieve the body.

Marshall was not immediately able to provide additional details on the incident and said the case is being handled by the Antioch Police Department.

Antioch police were not immediately available for more information.
