Boy Stuck In Statue Rescued By Fairfield Firefighters

The boy was trying to crawl through the statue when his head got stuck, fire officials said.

FAIRFIELD, CA — Fairfield firefighters came to the rescue Monday of a young boy who got stuck in a statue. Fire officials said the boy was attempting to crawl through a stone statue at the at the Fairfield Civic Center Library, 1150 Kentucky St., when his head got stuck.

Crews with Engine 37 and Truck 37 responded and were able to "gently chip a small piece of the stone away enough to free the boy," according to a Fairfield Fire Department statement.

The boy, whose age not provided, was not injured in the incident.
