Butchery Class: Fish, Fowl & Beast at Il Fiorello Olive Oil Co. on Saturday, September 27 from 10am-12pm

Il Fiorello Olive Oil Company will host a hands-on butchery class from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 27 at its Visitor Center in Fairfield, California.

Learn the art of home butchery. We will learn to stuff a Guinea hen, shell a lobster, and breakdown a whole pork loin. Executive Chef Marvin Martin will teach meat cutting skills, knife safety and sanitation, cooking techniques, and ways to re-purpose meat scraps. Each participant will take home their cuts of meat and seafood for their dinner. Oil and wine pairing is included.

Chef Martin is an expert in olive oil and enjoys a 20-year tenure as a chef for Robert Mondavi Winery, working on a variety of private and public events in the U.S. and Europe, including the annual culinary series known around the world as Great Chefs.
