Celebrate Suisun City Festival – Canceled

The Celebrate Suisun City Festival planned for the Waterfront District on Sunday, Oct. 6 has been canceled.

“It is important that every dollar the City receives is utilized in the most efficient and effective way and is prioritized based on the needs of the City,” said Mayor Lori Wilson. “In light of the recent discussion concerning our fiscal position, we felt it necessary to cancel the ‘Celebrate Suisun City!’ event.

“I am disheartened because it was an opportunity to highlight the wonderful diversity in our community and celebrate everything that is great about us,” she said. “However, at the same time my priorities are to ensure we have fiscal stability and sustainability and to ensure we are providing adequate services to our residents above all else.”
