Construction On Suisun's Main Street, But Not What You Think
Roadwork makes its way downtown again

Construction is once again being done on Main Street, and with it orange cones and workers in reflective orange vests. The work is not part of the ongoing construction the has been laboring to complete lately, however.
“The work on Main Street’s not ours,” said Scott Corey, marketing manager. “That is part of the county’s work to remodel the veteran’s building. They are putting in a new water surface line.”
Corey said the surface line supplies water to the and the fire hydrant just outside the building. The work is part of the county’s efforts to extensively remodel the building.

The county is working with Suisun City, and within the next couple of weeks, it will be more clear what other work might be done in or around the building. Corey said the road work was an especially important aspect of the county’s plans because Suisun City has plans to repave Main Street.
“When they’re done with the waterline then we can get going with the resurfacing,” he said.
