Cops Release Photo, Videos Of Person Of Interest In Man's Homicide

The victim, found dead in a grassy area on West Texas Street in Fairfield, was identified by authorities. [Breaking]

SOLANO COUNTY, CA – Fairfield police have identified the victim of a fatal stabbing earlier this week as 57-year-old Mark Merle Pyne.

Pyne, a Fairfield resident, was stabbed multiple times. His body was found around 4:45 p.m. Monday in the grass in the 1700 block of West Texas Street at Fifth Street, according to police.

Police released video clips and screen captures from two different security cameras of a male walking in the area who is considered a person of interest.

Detectives are asking anyone who may have been in the area of West Texas Street at Fifth Street between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Monday Sept. 19 and has any information about this incident, to please contact our Major Crimes Unit at (707) 428-7600.
