Napa Man Busted For Stealing Beer, Money From Vacaville Safeway: Police
Police arrested 49-year-old Michael Campbell of Napa early Saturday morning after he allegedly robbed a Safeway store in Vacaville.
SOLANO COUNTY, CA -- Police arrested a Napa man early Saturday morning after he allegedly robbed a Safeway store in Vacaville, police said.
According to police, a man entered the Safeway store located at 2090 Harbison Drive and demanded cash from a cash register. The man allegedly threatened the clerk and said he had a gun.
After collecting an undisclosed amount of money from the register and a case of beer, the man left the store, police said. A still from surveillance video can be seen in the second image above.

Police were contacted immediately and given a detailed description of the suspect and his vehicle.
A short time later, officers located the suspect's vehicle traveling west on Interstate Highway 80. Officers conducted a traffic stop just outside Vacaville city limits, as seen in the third photo above.

The driver, 49-year-old Michael Campbell of Napa, was detained and later positively identified as the robbery suspect, as seen in the first above photo. He was arrested on suspicion of robbery and for an outstanding warrant for larceny, police said.
