Cordelia Gun Exchange: Suspect Arrested For Break-In, Fire
Police said the Fairfield resident drove his vehicle into the gun shop storefront, then burglarized and set fire to the property.

SOLANO COUNTY, CA – A 42-year-old Fairfield resident was arrested Wednesday as the suspect who allegedly smashed his car into a local gun business, burglarized and set fire to the building, police said.
The Fairfield Police Department responded Wednesday to the Cordelia Gun Exchange on Central Way after owners reported a break-in and possible fire at the business, the agency said.
Although the perpetrator was unable to access any firearms, the person drove a vehicle through the front of the building and set fire to it during the burglary, police said.

Video-surveillance footage revealed a partial license plate for the suspect's vehicle, which later that day was located on the 600 block of San Bruno Street, police said.
Detectives that evening served a search warrant at the accompanying residence and retrieved items related to the burglary, police said. Several residents were interviewed, and officers determined Armando William Mandrigues, who was not at the home at the time, was responsible for the early morning break-in.

Mandrigues was located several hours later and arrested, police said. He was booked into Solano County Jail on charges of suspected arson, possession of an incendiary device and burglary.
A temporary closure of Cordelia Gun Exchange was announced Thursday by Pavel Rychlik, the business' owner/manager.
"On top of the break-in there was also a fire and due to the toxicity, we cannot possibly allow any customers inside the store. We are working very hard to get everything cleaned up as fast as possible and make it safe for re-entry," Rychlik said on Facebook. "Please be patient, we understand the situation can cause inconvenience with firearm releases. All of the firearms are safe and locked away thankfully, due to our secure firearms storage procedure. You will be able to pick your firearms up as soon as we can possibly enter and re-open the storefront.
"To all of our loyal customers, we really appreciate your support and offerings to help us out during this tough time. We will remember you!"
