Coroner IDs 3 Young Adults Killed In I-80 Crash

The Friday morning accident in Solano County occurred when the victims' car hit a guardrail and flipped, officials said.

SOLANO COUNTY, CA – The Solano County coroner's office has identified the three victims of a fatal solo-vehicle crash in Fairfield on Friday as Katie Good, an 18-year-old woman from Sacramento, Diamond Day, a 20-year-old man from Elk Grove, and Mary Grosvenor, a 19-year-old woman from Stockton.

Day was driving a Hyundai Elantra sedan at a very high rate of speed east on Interstate Highway 80 when the car clipped a guardrail, overturned and struck a large support pillar of the state Highway 12 overcrossing, California Highway Patrol Officer David Harvey said.

The crash happened before 5:50 a.m., Harvey said.
