Dixon Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Murder
A suspect was arrested last week on suspicion of killing a man whose body was found in the community of Bay Point in April.

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY - A suspect was arrested last week on suspicion of killing a man whose body was found in the community of Bay Point in April, according to the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office.
Marshon Ardoin, 20, of Dixon, was arrested May 2 by sheriff's deputies and the U.S. Marshals Service in connection with the death of 28-year-old David Mallard, according to the sheriff's office.
Mallard, a Richmond resident, was found suffering an injury around 9:15 p.m. on April 14 in the area of Driftwood Drive and Port Chicago Highway, according to the sheriff's office.

Responding deputies tried to resuscitate Mallard, who was found unresponsive, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
It was later determined that he was shot, sheriff's officials said.

Investigators with the sheriff's office believe Mallard was killed in Richmond and his body was later moved to Bay Point.
Detectives with the sheriff's office later identified Ardoin as a suspect in the case and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Ardoin, who is being held at the Martinez Detention Facility in lieu of $1 million bail, has been charged with murder, according to the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office.
He's scheduled to be arraigned at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in a Richmond courtroom.
