The city of Fairfield is looking for nominees for its Honors Committee.

The City of Fairfield is accepting applications for two openings on the Honors Committee.

The Honors Committee was established in 1995 to honor those who made significant contributions to improve the quality of life in the community. The committee reviews and makes recommendations on naming city streets and facilities in their honor. Committee members attend quarterly meetings, consider nominations, and solicit input from businesses or residents.

Qualified applicants must be long-time Fairfield residents, familiar with Fairfield heritage, committed to creating a stronger sense of community and enhancing the City’s history, and able to attend quarterly meetings and occasional City Council meetings.

Applications are available at the City Clerk’s office at City Hall, 1000 Webster Street, 4th floor, in Fairfield.
